What an amazing day and awesome group of Rotarians and volunteers!
Twenty-one volunteers from The Rotary Club of Mount Pleasant met at Sullivan’s Island Elementary on September 28th, 2024. Volunteers met to conduct a Beach Sweep of the beach Sullivan’s Island.
Our volunteers “swept” from Sullivan’s Island Elementary School to The Water Tower one way and then back to The Point at Station 12 in the other direction.
Our group collected approximately 60 pounds of trash / debris from the beach area (all in one morning)!
Thank you to everyone who participated and helped with our “sweeping” efforts!
We look forward to conducting another sweep again in the Spring and / or Fall of 2025.
